Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are undeniably some of the most popular people on the planet. And while that certainly has its advantages, it also has some clear drawbacks. And the couple dealt with one of those unfortunate drawbacks this week in a rather terrifying situation.

According to a report from the Associated Press, a 34-year-old alleged stalker who made online threats against Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce was detained by police after he tried to enter one of her concerts in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

“The suspected stalker, a 34-year-old whose name wasn’t released, had a ticket to Swift’s concert at Gelsenkirchen’s Veltins-Arena on Wednesday, police said in a statement. They said that, because an initial investigation couldn’t entirely rule out a risk, he was detained during entry checks to the event,” the Associated Press reported this week.

“Police said the man had made threats against Swift and her partner on social media. They said he had been detained following tips from organizers of the event.”

Needless to say, this is a horrible situation for the two of them, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

The suspected stalker will be detained by police until her concerts in the city are over.
