Legendary NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens has not played a regular season NFL game since the 2010 season with the Cincinnati Bengals, but it turns out that he actually tried to make a comeback in 2021, only to get shut down by Tom Brady. And it sounds like he’s still bitter about it.

During a recent appearance on the Bubba Dub Show, Terrell Owens revealed that he reached out to Tom Brady about joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their playoff run after Antonio Brown abruptly left the team late in the season. But according to Owens, Brady ghosted him and never replied.

“Tom Brady ignored me,” Owens said according to Pro Football Talk. “The year that AB went crazy . . . they just needed somebody to fill some holes with AB leaving at the receiver position. I reached out to him through Randy and some other people, just to come in and play third down and red zone situations. This dude ignored me. It just shows you the lack of respect there, but then when they get in front of you they want to act like they respect you.”

Needless to say, this led to a lot of reactions on social media.

Owens was 48 years old at the time and hadn’t played a game of football in over a decade.
