When Taylor Swift began dating Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce last year, it brought a lot more attention from fans and media to both his life and the team, leading some to believe that it could be a distraction as he and the Chiefs try to focus on football. But it does not seem like head coach Andy Reid sees it that way.
During a recent interview on the new “Scoop City” football broadcast from The Athletic, Andy Reid opened up a little bit about how he handles the “Hollywood” distractions that the team faces after their meteoric rise to fame – particularly Kelce, as he is now dating one of the most famous individuals on the planet.
Reid made it clear that he is “OK” with it as long as it does not prevent Kelce or the other players from preparing for the upcoming season.

“I grew up in Hollywood, so I’m OK with it as long as they’re ready to go,” Reid said. “Training camp is kind of that proving ground. If you’re not ready to go, it’s going to be obvious quickly.”
So far, Kelce hasn’t seemed to let the relationship prevent him from performing his best on the field.
