Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the most famous and popular player in the entire league. Naturally, he has dealt with his fair share of bad questions from the media. And it sounds like he is quite the expert at dealing with those sorts of questions.
During a recent interview with entertainer Rob Riggle on his podcast Riggle’s Picks, Patrick Mahomes was asked about how he handles some of the bad questions from bad reporters, and he had a pretty clear message to those members of the media as he pointed out that he’s gotten really good at saying “a lot of words without saying anything at all.”
“It’s part of it. It’s part of the profession, it’s part of being a quarterback and having to stand on that podium and having to talk, win or loss,” Mahomes explained on the podcast, according to Awful Announcing. “And I think what I’ve done, what I’ve mastered, is being able to say a lot of words without saying anything at all. So that’s my go-to whenever I get a question I might not like, I’ll just say a lot of words, but it really means nothing.”
Mahomes has clearly grown quite savvy during his time in the NFL, and that extends beyond the football field.
