The State of New Jersey is making a major move against Donald Trump after his recent 34 felony convictions in New York.

The New York Times reports that New Jersey alcoholic beverage regulators ordered two of Trump’s golf clubs within their jurisdiction to demonstrate why they deserve liquor licenses due to their owner’s status as a convicted felon.

Kirstin Krueger, the interim director of the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control, has her sights set on Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster and Trump National Golf Club in Colts Neck.

Krueger informed Trump that those cubs would be subject to a hearing in Trenton on July 19.

According to Krueger’s letter addressed to The Trump Organization, Trump’s recent felony convictions “raise concerns as to whether this licensee remains qualified to hold said license.”

Per The New York Times, the division found a “direct interest” in the license from Donald Trump.

Kreuger wrote that the state is using its “discretion to deny an application based on a review of the applicant’s background and character.”

Trump has denied all wrongdoing, even after his 34 convictions related to a hush money payment to an adult film star after an alleged sexual encounter.

Trump is currently tied with President Joe Biden in most major polls as he seeks to reclaim the White House from the man who defeated him in 2020.
