In any professional sport, it’s common for the more veteran players to take young players under their wings a little bit and give them advice when they’re on the court, even if they’re opponents. But it doesn’t sound like Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has gotten that treatment from veteran players in the WNBA.
During a recent interview, Caitlin Clark was asked what sort of advice that she has received from some of the more veteran players during games – under the assumption that she had indeed received some advice.
“What’s the best advice a vet has given you in [a] game this season?” the reporter asked.
Clark responded with a pretty sad truth.
"What's the best advice a vet has given you in [a] game this season?"
Caitlin Clark: "Nobody gives me advice in games. I wish."

“Nobody gives me advice in games,” Clark said with a knowing smile.
“I wish,” she continued.
Obviously, Clark is the most high-profile rookie ever to enter the WNBA, which could play a role in how she is treated by some of the more veteran players on the court.
While no veteran player necessarily owes it to Clark to give her advice during games, it seems like yet another sign that the veteran players aren’t exactly happy with how much attention she has received from fans and media.
