Taylor Swift is continuing album re-records and anyone wanting a sneak preview of one of the songs will find it in a somewhat surprising place: a documentary on the New England Patriots.
As People Magazine reports, Taylor Swift offered a little sneak preview of “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” from the upcoming re-record of her 2017 album Reputation in a recent Apple TV+ documentary series about the New England Patriots.
“A preview of the pop superstar’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)’ is featured in the new Apple TV+ docuseries The Dynasty: New England Patriots,” People Magazine reports.
“In a clip from the series, former Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola discusses quarterback Tom Brady’s comeback following the ‘Deflategate’ controversy, when the Indianapolis Colts accused the Patriots of using underinflated footballs during the 2015 AFC championship game.
“‘The king is back. Here he goes. Watch him get pissed off and go,’ says Amendola, 38, in the docuseries — as ‘Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)’ plays in the background.”
Swift has been re-recording all of her previous albums in an effort to own a version of each of the songs that she has recorded in the past. Up to this point, she has already released re-recordings of 1989, Red, Speak Now, and Fearless. Each new recording also features some reworked unreleased songs from that “Era.”
While it’s somewhat surprising that Swift would tease unreleased music in a documentary about the Patriots, it makes sense given her relationship with Apple TV as well as her new found connection to the NFL after she began dating Taylor Swift.
