Shaw joined the Cardinal all the way back in 2007 under then-head coach Jim Harbaugh. After Harbaugh left Stanford for the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers, Shaw took over the reins of the program. He led the program to three Pac-12 championships, a Rose Bowl victory in 2015, and five 10-win seasons. They may have petered out by the end of it, but Shaw’s prowess shouldn’t be understated.
The Broncos are in need of a change and new voices in the room. So, bringing Shaw in from that perspective is a strong idea. Denver has struggled mightily since winning Super Bowl 50. They’ve yet to return to the NFL Playoffs, and they hope the right mix going forward this year can get them back. Denver’s made noise before, with three Super Bowl titles to their record.
We’ll see if adding Shaw to the mix can help the team be built up better.
