Earlier this month, Connecticut Sun guard DiJonai Carrington caused quite a few headlines when she taunted and mocked Caitlin Clark during a game, and now she’s blasting the new WNBA fans that Clark has brought to the league.
Earlier this month during a game against Caitlin Clark and in the Indiana Fever, DiJonai Carrington was called for a blocking foul against Clark, and she quickly turned to the referee and mocked Clark, flailing her arms to imply that she thought Clark embellished the contact in order to draw a foul.
Naturally, Carrington’s antics during the game led to a lot of conversation, apparently causing Carrington to take to social media to call out some of the league’s newest fans – of “fAnS” as she called them, implying they aren’t really fans of the league.

“Unfortunately for yall new fAnS, we do not just ‘shut up and dribble’ here. Ya picked the wrong league,” Carrington said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
Obviously, Clark has led to a surge in popularity for the WNBA, but Carrington does not appear to be all that willing to welcome those new fans to the league.
