New Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh is a big fan of quarterback Justin Herbert.
Harbaugh, who took over the reins in LA this past offseason, spoke highly of his quarterback this week. Harbaugh raved over the former Oregon standout, specifically highlighting a recent conditioning test.
It’s safe to say the former Michigan head coach was very impressed.
NFL Network’s Bridget Condon quoted Harbaugh as saying, “The conditioning test was another eye opener… He smashed the conditioning test last Thursday. I mean, crushed it like out in front of people trying to keep up with to the point, I mean, the athleticism and the strength really. I mean, he could play tight end here, he could play edge rusher here.”

Harbaugh has had a touted run of success with quarterbacks in the NFL and college, dating back to Andrew Luck and tapping into Colin Kaepernick. Herbert is certainly one of the most talented quarterbacks Harbaugh’s ever coached, so this tandem will be one to watch going forward.
