Last month, former United States President Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business documents in his hush money trial. And that conviction could cause a terrible problem for Trump’s golf courses.
As a result of his conviction, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control has confirmed that it’s reviewing the liquor licenses for properties owned by Donald Trump which includes Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck and Trump National Golf Club Pine Hill.
“ABC is reviewing the impact of President Trump’s conviction on the above referenced licenses, and declines further comment at this time,” Attorney General Matthew Platkin’s office told Fox News Digital.
New Jersey state prohibits liquor licenses from being issued to individuals who have been convicted of a crime that involves “moral turpitude.”
“No license of any class shall be issued to any person under the age of 18 years or to any person who has been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude,” the law reads.
Given the nature of Trump’s felony conviction, that could be a pretty terrible problem for the former president and it could lead to him losing his liquor license for his New Jersey golf courses.
