Earlier this month, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker made some quite critical comments about United States President Joe Biden during a controversial commencement address. But it seems that Butker was able to put aside his issues with the president as he joined the the team at the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl LVIII victory.
During his commencement address, Harrison Butker criticized Joe Biden for not holding true to traditional Catholic principles on issues like abortion and LGBTQ rights.
“Our own nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith,” Butker said in his speech earlier this month. “But at the same time is delusional enough to make the sign of the cross during a pro-abortion rally. He has been so vocal in his support for the murder of innocent babies that I’m sure to many people it appears that you can be both Catholic and pro-choice. He is not alone. From the fan behind the COVID lockdown, to the people pushing gender ideologies onto the youth of America. They all have a glaring thing in common. They are all Catholic.”
But when the team made the trip to the White House to visit Biden, Butker was with them.

It’s worth noting that Butker also attended the team’s celebration at the White House last year in which he gave a subtle abortion protest with his attire. It’s not clear whether or not there was a similar subtle protest this year.
