After parting ways with former starting quarterback Russell Wilson this offseason, the Denver Broncos brought in a couple of new quarterbacks, trading for former New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson and selecting Oregon Ducks star quarterback Bo Nix with the No. 12 overall pick in the NFL Draft. But returning quarterback Jarrett Stidham isn’t just going to give up the job even despite the new additions.

During a recent press conference, Jarrett Stidham made it clear that he intends to fight hard to earn the job himself this offseason as he competes with Bo Nix and Zach Wilson.

“I’ve dealt with this before when I was in New England with Mac Jones,” Stidham said according to the Denver Broncos team website. “It’s a business and I totally understand it, but at the same time, I’m here to compete. I’m not going to just sit down and let someone else walk in here and [just take the role]. I’m going to work my butt off to get the job. I’m super excited about it.”

Stidham took over as the team’s starting quarterback last year after the Broncos benched starter Russell Wilson. We’ll have to see if he can earn the full-time starting job this offseason.
