The Dallas Cowboys are bringing back running back Ezekiel Elliott this season after he spent the 2023 season with the New England Patriots, and it sounds like quarterback Dak Prescott is quite glad to be reuniting with his longtime teammate.
Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott both arrived in Dallas together as part of the 2016 NFL Draft class and played their first seven seasons together with the Cowboys. The team parted ways with Elliott last offseason and he ultimately signed with the New England Patriots. But now he is back in Dallas, and Prescott couldn’t be happier.
“Super excited. Just obviously knowing our history, my experience with him as a brother, but, in this case, as a teammate, understanding what he brings to the team,” Prescott said according to Lawrence Dow of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “Just the locker room alone, the culture he sets, a guy that does everything the right way from, from the locker room to the field.”
Elliott is on the tail end of his career as a running back and is coming off of the least productive season of his entire career, but it sounds like the team is still excited about what he brings to the Cowboys both on the field and in the locker room.
