When the New York Jets take the field for the 2024 NFL season, they’ll do so with a new look.
On Monday, the Jets unveiled a entire new set of uniforms, which will replace the previous set that they had worn since 2019.
As opposed to their most recent collection of modernized uniforms, the Jets’ new threads opt for a simplistic and retro-like look, which are reminiscent of the “New York Sack Exchange” uniforms the franchise wore throughout the 1980s. While the Jets wore a white throwback uniform on multiple occasions during the 2023 season, their entire uniform collection has been updated to reflect the retro-inspired design, including green home jerseys, white away jerseys and a black alternate jersey.

In addition to their new uniforms, the Jets have updated their primary logo to reflect the team’s throwback look. Fittingly, the franchise has dubbed its new look its “Legacy Collection” as the team looks to return to its previous glory days.
“We work for the fans,” said Jets Chairman Woody Johnson said in a release. “They have consistently asked for us to return to our roots and we heard them. The new uniforms are explicitly designed to look and feel like the New York Jets while refreshing the club’s iconic logo – viewed by fans as our most identifiable mark.”
