In most cases, a quarterback who just won the Super Bowl would be spending his Friday celebrating one of the biggest accomplishments of his professional career. But after the celebration turned to tragedy in Kansas City on Wednesday afternoon, Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes was in the hospital visiting some young shooting victims.
According to a report from Malik Jackson of Fox 5 Kansas City, Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany took the time to visit two victims of Wednesday afternoon’s shooting at the Super Bowl championship parade for the Chiefs.
“#KCSTRONG Below are photos of Patrick & Brittany Mahomes – after visiting with two of the shooting victims. An 8 & 10 year-old shot while celebrating their hometown team. The family tells us both are ok but have a long road to recovery,” Jackson said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

The Reyes family, whom Mahomes visited, released a statement giving an update on the recovery of the eight and 10-year-old girls after they were shot on Wednesday.
“On behalf of the Reyes Family, we are incredibly grateful for the love, support, and prayers during this difficult time,” their statement reads. “Our family, along with the other families impacted by this senseless act, are still healing physically and emotionally.”
