The Penn State Nittany Lions are facing the Michigan Wolverines this week while Michigan is in the midst of an NCAA investigation into allegations of illegal sign stealing. And as a result of the pending investigation, Penn State had a little funny trolling the Wolverines on social media.
On Thursday morning, Penn State football’s official Twitter account released a video calling their fans to be ready to support their team and be loud during this weekend’s showdown with Michigan.
Toward the end of the clip, Penn State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz walked up to the camera and made a few gestures and signals to tell Penn State fans to arrive early and be loud, specifically come third down.
Be Early. ⌚️
Be Loud. 👂
Especially on 3rd Down. 👌

The gestures and signals that Diaz made were a pretty obvious troll at Michigan’s alleged sign-stealing efforts.
While the NCAA investigation into the matter is not expected to be completed until 2024 at the earliest, the Big Ten conference is currently considering whether or not to impose immediate punishment on Michigan under the league’s Sportsmanship Policy.
In the meantime, Saturday’s game between Michigan and Penn State has massive ramifications in both the Big Ten championship race as well as the College Football Playoff conversation.
