Took you long enough, Colorado.

It seemed like it took the Rockies forever to make a decision about what to do with Jose Reyes. Following a domestic violence incident that occurred last fall, Reyes was was suspended for the first two months of MLB action. The suspension ended 15 days ago, with Colorado leaving the shortstop’s future in limbo. People got tired of it. A lot of people. It was annoying.

In the final hour of their time to do so, the Rockies finally announced Wednesday that Reyes has been removed from their roster, or “designated for assignment,” as smart people would put it.

With the slugger outed from his former team, it should be interesting to see where he goes from here. During his suspension, as Bleacher Report stated, he was spending his time with Colorado’s AAA team, the Albuquerque Isotopes. Here’s hoping the slugger can find himself another franchise to call home.
