Until tonight a Splash Hit had not gone down at AT&T Park since the 2014 post season, and a fan in a Madison Bumgarner jersey made sure to dive in to recover the ball.
Brandon Belt hit the 69th Splash Hit against the visiting Boston Red Sox to tie the game 1-1. The dry spell of Splash Hits is over, and so was that diehard fans warmth at the game.
