Robert Griffin III is the one. After two decades of horrific quarterback play, the Cleveland Browns have finally found the one.
Doubtful.
The Browns signed the former Redskins’ quarterback and No. 2 overall pick to a two-year deal on Thursday. Griffin will become the 176th starting quarterback for the downtrodden franchise since 1999, the year they resumed operations.
The others haven’t fared so well. In fact, Brian Hoyer is the franchise’s ONLY signal-caller since 1999 to have a winning record (via Bryan Armen Graham):
