C.J. Anderson hasn’t exactly been a fantasy owner’s dream so far this season. He has just 56 rushing yards and 21 receiving yards with no touchdowns. That’s a measly seven total points in standard leagues.
Unfortunately for Anderson owners- especially those who drafted him with a first-round pick- that output isn’t going to help win games. Here’s the thing, though: Like many NFL players, Anderson couldn’t care less about your fantasy team.
“You can sit me for 17 weeks. It would not bother me one bit. I don’t care,” said Anderson per the Denver Post. “I saw something on ESPN: ‘Is C.J. Anderson a fantasy bust?’ I wish I could call ESPN and say: ‘Tell them to drop me. … Every owner can drop me.’
Despite Anderson’s wishes, owners are probably still hesitant to drop him, and rightfully so. After all, it’s just Week 3. But one thing is for sure, patience and fantasy football certainly do not go hand-in-hand.
