Judging by his Instagram page and especially the above artwork, @tattoo_monky (aka Santiago Macchio) is a really freaking good tattoo artist.
The shading and near photo-realism of both the Kobe and the MJ tattoos are outstanding and it’s frankly amazing that these are tattoos and not penchil etchings done on paper.
The only nitpick that one could have with these is the fact that, well, they’re tattoos of Michael Jordan’s and Kobe Bryant’s faces on some person’s calves which is a pretty awkward place to put the faces of two human beings.
Still, one can’t help but marvel at Macchio’s incredibly realistic work. The Jordan and Kobe ones are pretty much par for the course.
