Ronda Rousey did an AMA on reddit today, and there were some gems revealed by the undefeated MMA fighter. She may be the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, but she’s kind of a dork outside of the ring, and she’s proud of it.
- Rousey is apparently very into video games. She even used to moderate a Pokemon forum, and her favorite Pokemon was mew.
- Continuing off of Rousey’s love of video games, the MMA fighter is also an active player on World of Warcraft. She also frequents a 3D action role-playing game called Taichi Panda, in which she is a mage named Randa.
- Her preferred pre-fight music is no music at all. There is no talking, no music, and no cellphones in the locker room before a fight. You get the “Rowdy glare” if she hears even a peep from you while she’s getting in the zone.
- Her go-to cheat meal is buffalo wings naked with chunky blue cheese and extra hot sauce on the side.
- Her favorite male UFC fighter to watch is Demetrious Johnson, because she thinks he’s the most well-rounded and she feels like she’s “watching one of the later episodes of Dragon Ball Z when you only see one second of action going on between them disappearing ‘cuz they’re going so damn fast.” She finished by saying she “wouldn’t be surprised if rocks start levitating around the ring because of all the energy emanating from it.”
- She is most proud of her Olympic gold medal
- Her sincere opinion about Cyborg is “she’s just waiting to be offered enough money to get her ass kicked.” Rousey knows for a fact she can make weight at 135 as she made 145 “pumped full of steroids.”
- Rousey doesn’t think she can beat Mayweather in a boxing match. She’s not that cocky. But she is a firm believer that she can take anyone in this planet in a no-rules fight.
- She would want to train with Vegeta in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. And if she were to fight anyone in history, it would be Buffalo Bill.
- She would be afraid to fight that “one gnarly giant dude from 300.”
