Wednesday marked the highmark of the NBA offseason as DeAndre Jordan decided to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers over the Dallas Mavericks in what became a hilarious, emoji-fueled circus.

In addition to the surreal reporting of the Clippers literally invading DeAndre’s home to ensure that Jordan signed with them at midnight, ESPN’s Chris Broussard reported that Mavs owner Mark Cuban was driving around on Wednesday calling DeAndre’s family like a sad, forlorn ex-lover.

Cuban did not take kindly to Broussard’s reporting, calling it “the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard.”

However, apparently not satisfied with issuing a denial of Broussard’s report in the most dismissive way possible, Cuban then issued Broussard a six-figure challenge to back up his claim report, after Broussard defended his reporting on the issue.

As of this writing, Broussard has yet to take up Cuban on his offer. Still, the fact that the owner of an NBA team is having a Twitter spat with an ESPN writer is just another example of why the whole DeAndre Jordan drama has been the best damn thing to happen during the NBA offseason.
