Occasional Grammy winner and fervent sports fan Drake spent his Memorial Day weekend contributing to the second annual Houston Appreciation Weekend.
The event was held in support of the Astros Urban Youth Academy.
Of course, the charity softball game that was held on Friday was a highlight of the weekend. In addition to Drake, football players such as Duane Brown, Dwayne Bowe and Le’Ron McClain participated in the softball game, as did former Astros pitchers Brandon Backe and Chris Sampson. Aside from Drake, recording artist Ne-Yo and rapper Kirko Bangz were also among those who participated.
Drake’s team ended up losing the game but considering that this was for a good cause, I think everyone comes out a winner.
