After many years of doubt, it was recently confirmed that Ryan Reynolds would be “reprising” (but not really, thank all that is holy) his character Deadpool in a feature-length film.
Considering that the “Merc with a Mouth” is essentially a fourth-wall breaking, joke-flinging machine who is often placed in some of the most violent and “adult-themed” situations in the Marvel Universe this side of the Punisher, one of the main concerns that Deadpool fans had of the upcoming film was whether it would be rated PG-13 or R.
Ryan Reynolds was recently “interviewed” by Mario Lopez to discuss that issue when Deadpool came out from behind Lopez to announce that Deadpool would be rated ‘R’ in the most Deadpool-way possible – by beating Lopez with a stage light.
