Ray Lewis made an appearance on Stephen A. Smith’s radio show on Tuesday, where a conversation about Dez Bryant’s near-catch on Sunday lead Lewis and Stephen A. to discuss some of the NFL’s more controversial rules over the years.

Of course, that prompted Lewis to bring up the infamous ‘Tuck Rule’ that helped save the Patriots against the Raiders and – ultimately – propel them to their first Super Bowl title in 2001. He had some very interesting things to say on the topic:

(Brady comments start around the 2:50 mark)

“The only reason we know who Tom Brady is, because of a tuck rule! There’s no such thing as a tuck rule! If the ball is in your hand, and I knock it out your hand, whether it’s going backwards, forwards, lateral, sideways, however it’s coming out, that’s a freaking fumble!

“But guess what we created? We created a freaking tuck rule!”

Well, that’s certainly a hot take, Ray.

I could use a whole bunch of words to argue against your stupidity, but I’ll just leave this here and let it do the talking instead:
