BYU hoops has been all over the news this year with the suspension of Brandon Davies. But at the end of the day, the real story was the unbelievable play of senior Jimmer Fredette. Jimmer averaged 28.5 points, leading BYU to the regular-season title in the Mountain West Conference. Fredette also led the Cougars to a No. 3 seed in the NCAA tournament. Jimmer was the story of college Basketball this year. His efforts were sealed today with the AP’s award for Player of the Year.
