After getting released during the St. Louis Rams’ final round of cuts this weekend, Michael Sam has reportedly found a new home in the NFL – the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad. The rookie defensive end, who is openly gay, will sign with the Cowboys following a physical, according to Ian Rapoport.
Michael Sam flies in to Dallas tonight, source says. He’ll take a physical. If he passes, he will join their practice squad.

In case you were wondering, the decision reportedly comes with the approval of Jerry Jones and all the Cowboys veterans.

Sam had a solid preseason with the Rams so it’s not all that surprising to see another squad give him a shot at making their 53-man roster.
