This video comes from a recent high school football game in Ohio between Garfield Heights and Collinwood High and shows a vicious on-field brawl that resulted in three arrests, two people being sent to the hospital, and a cancellation of the game.
The whole incident started when a Collinwood player threw a very dirty, late hit on a Garfield player after a punt in the third quarter. As you can see in the video, #15 on Garfield gets leveled by a blindside cheap shot from #3 on Collinwood, sparking a confrontation that eventually escalates into both benches clearing and engaging in a violent melee.
It didn’t take too long for the officials to call off the game, which was probably the right call in that situation. Both those teams should be embarrassed for the way they handled themselves.
