Well, at least Manchester United’s horrendous start to the season has benefited one fan of the team. Meet Holly Griffiths, a 20-year-old Manchester United fan who attends most of the team’s games. Prior to Manchester United’s game against the MK Dons, Griffiths decided to bet on her team. She thought that she had bet £2.50 on a 4-0 Manchester United win. After all, the MK Dons aren’t even worthy of the EPL.
But, it turns out that Griffiths accidentally reversed her bet, putting money on the MK Dons winning by a score of 4-0. The odds for that bet? 500-1. That turned out to be good news for Griffiths, considering Manchester United lost 4-0 to the MK Dons. Yup, Holly Griffiths, a 20-year-old Manchester United fan, managed to win $2,000 by betting against her team when her team was playing a League One team and not an EPL team.
