Astros first baseman Jon Singleton is a large human at 6’2, 234-pounds and veteran umpire Bill Welke learned first-hand what it feels like to get trucked by him.
After a failed pickoff attempt by pitcher Brad Peacock, Singleton chases the ball up the line but somehow doesn’t see Welke standing directly in front of him, thus barreling over him in one of the more exciting stories for either team this month.
