The Kevin Love rumors have been swirling for months and will continue to kick up dust until the all-star is actually moved. According to Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor, that time is coming very soon.
The Saint Paul Pioneer Press reported that Taylor indicated the team plans to trade Love by the end of the month, specifically by August 23rd or 24th, issuing the following comments:
I’m saying it’s most likely because Kevin has made it pretty clear that’s what he wants to do. It think when you move somebody like Kevin, who’s been an all-star, you’ve got to get a number of players on your team that have the potential to replace him.
Because of those proposed dates in late August, it appears obvious that Flip Saunders and the Wolves are sitting on the 30 day no-trade waiting period for Andrew Wiggins, who signed his rookie deal with the Cavs on July 24th. Chicago and Golden State are the other two teams considered serious contenders in a trade for Love.
