A massive brawl broke out in Triple-A minor league baseball action between the Albuquerque Isotopes (Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate) and Reno Aces (Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate) on Saturday night, leading to 10 ejections.
It made for quite the play-by-play recap on MiLB.com:
Yep, even Aces manager (and 2001 National League All-Star) Phil Nevin was ejected following the brawl.
The brawl began after Albuquerque shortstop Erisbel Arruebarrena was unhappy about being thrown at by Reno pitcher Mike Bolsinger, as KOLO TV (Reno ABC) reporter Ben Ross explains:
Isotopes infielder Erisbel Arruebarrena not happy about being thrown at. A few pitches later he struck out, then shoved Aces’ Blake Lalli

Benches cleared, dozens of players involved right behind home plate. Brawl went into the net and pushed net right into first row of crowd

Really awful sight to see. Arruebarrena is going to be suspended for a long time.
