Instead of loading up on greasy food and a whiny attitude while pregnant, Alysia Montano decided to exercise, and exercise enough to run the 800-Meter at the U.S. Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday.runner

The former University of California track star  is 8 1/2 months pregnant, but that didn’t stop the 28-year-old mother-to-be from recording a time of 2:32.13, a time most non-pregnant 28-year-olds could not hit.

Is this healthy? Did she consult with a doctor? Yes.

“I’ve been running throughout my pregnancy and I felt really, really good during the whole process,” Montano said following the qualifying heat in Sacramento.

She did finish last, trailing by more than 100-meters for the entire race, but was never is jeopardy of being lapped. Her personal best in this event was 1:57.34 in 2010.

Montano was on the 2012 United States Olympic team and also set the American Outdoor Record in the 4 x 800 relay in 2013.
