Before his fifth inning at-bat against Boston’s Jake Peavy on Sunday night, Miguel Cabrera stopped to shake hands with a young fan at Fenway on his way to the plate. The young kid was clearly ecstatic that baseball’s best hitter went out of his way to meet him, and it was arguably the game’s best moment.
Just another reason why baseball is better.
