The Oklahoma City Thunder mounted an insane comeback Thursday night against the Memphis Grizzlies, erasing a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit to tie the game at 81-81, before Memphis pulled back ahead, 85-81. A Russell Westbrook 4-point play helped send the game to overtime — the second such crunch-time play in as many games between the two teams. In the extra period, with Memphis leading 95-92, Westbrook, the target of many basketball purists’ ire, launched a three-pointer that would have tied the game with less than 30 seconds to play.
As you can see, Serge Ibaka is so open, he’s practically planted a flag near the rim and claimed it in his name. But, as you can also see, Westbrook is oblivious to Ibaka’s open-ness. These are the types of plays that keep Thunder fans up at night, with visions of Westbrook haters dancing in their heads.
