Does this mean that the Bulls have found the missing Malaysian airplane? Probably not, but it could mean that Derrick Rose is returning this year, quite possibly for this playoff series against the Washington Wizards, who shocked the Bulls in Game 1. Reports in recent days have been that the All-Star point guard is progressing quite well in his rehabilitation. Bulls general manager Gar Forman had this to say about Rose’s recovery:
“He’s making great progress. When he had the injury, we were very lucky that the meniscus could be repaired. He’ll come back and be 100 percent — there’s no question in any of our minds. But because it was able to be repaired, he’ll have great stability in that knee and it will take away the chances that it becomes arthritic towards the end of his career.”
Forman also stated that Derrick Rose won’t return for the playoffs, but he is on the Bulls playoff roster. Rose missed all of last season because of his torn ACL in his left knee. He then played 10 games this season before tearing his meniscus in his right knee on Nov. 22.
