UPDATE: We are idiots and wrong. Apparently the gloves have nothing to do with gay rights.
The Opening Ceremony kicked off the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi on Friday, and Greece’s Olympians showed up wearing some rainbow gloves in protest of Russia’s hard stance against gays at the Games. It was a great statement made from the Greeks, but the Canadians still hold the throne for best pro-gay message.
