Christianity made a minor faux pas when they scheduled their weekly service on Sundays, the same day as football. This is excusable for most regular season games, however when it comes to the playoffs it’s a real conundrum. Pastor Tim Christensen understands the struggle of the NFL fan so he made things easy on Sunday. Christensen, a devout 49ers fan, gave a highly abbreviated Sunday service at Gold Hill Lutheran Church in Butte, Montana so that he and his fellowship could catch the kickoff for Sunday’s divisional round game between the 49ers and the Carolina Panthers. The pastor breezed through the entire sermon in less than a minute, complete with Kaepernicking. He made Communion an open bar and then ran off to watch the game. It seems that God approved as the 49ers prevailed.
