Last night as the Stanford Cardinal dominated the Ducks in every possible way, Oregon senior wide receiver Josh Huff clearly hit his breaking point, and was spotted shedding tears, during the fourth quarter. Despite a last minute rally and this emotional release, Stanford beat the Ducks 26-20, imploding what was up until this game, a dream year in Eugene. For Stanford this huge win revitalizes the 2013 season and gives the rising squad plenty of hope for a BCS birth.
Quick Side Notes:
— Stanford RB Tyler Gaffney: 45 CAR, 157 YDS, 1 TD (*Set school record with 45 carries)
— Oregon QB Marcus Mariota: 20/34, 250 YDS, 2 TD
— Stanford held the ball for over 42 1/2 minutes and compiled 26 first downs
— QB Marcus Mariota loses status as Heisman frontrunner
— Oregon loses control of the Pac-12
