Givani Smith wanted to stick it to the Soo Greyhounds after beating them and picked an interesting way to do so.
The Kitchener forward showed some emotion after the Rangers defeated the Greyhounds 4-3 in overtime in Game Six of their third-round OHL playoff series. Smith, who assisted on Kole Sherwood’s OT winner, immediately skated to Soo’s bench, stuck up his middle finger and taunted his opponents.

It’s not a great look for Smith – mostly, because he’s such a talented player.
The 20-year-old is a Detroit Red Wings prospect and has scored 15 points in 17 games for Kitchener in the postseason – including chipping in three points on Sunday night. Smith excelled with his new team after getting dealt from Guelph mid-season.
Emotions can get the best of people, but Smith’s unsportsmanlike gesture might cost him a suspension. At the very least, he’s added more fuel to Soo’s fire.
Regardless, it’s going to be awkward in the handshake line after Game Seven tomorrow no matter what the outcomes turns out to be.
