Kate Upton has posted a solid amount of photos with dogs to her Instagram page lately, and it’s for a good cause.
Upton teamed up with boyfriend and Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander to host the “Grand Slam Adoptiom Event” in an effort to find homes for over 6,000 animals. You can read more about the event in the blurb below, which is taken directly from the event’s website: https://www.handbid.com/auctions/grand-slam-adoption/
The Grand Slam Adoption Event is hosted by Kate Upton and Justin Verlander, in partnership with the Detroit Tigers and Wins for Warriors, to benefit both SPCA Florida and K9s For Warriors. SPCA Florida is Polk County’s largest private non-profit animal welfare organization and exists to engage the entire community to eliminate animal suffering. This year alone they will find homes for more than 6,000 animals. K9s For Warriors is dedicated to providing service canines to warriors suffering from PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury and military sexual trauma as a result of military service post-9/11. Over 95% of the service canines used are rescued from animal shelters. Wins for Warriors Foundation (started by Justin Verlander in August of 2013) helps advocate for and invest in resources that enable Veterans and their families to lead resilient lives. We are very grateful for your support to these inspiring organizations, and hope you enjoy the incredible items and experiences we have listed in our auction! 100% of the silent auction proceeds will directly benefit SPCA Florida and K9s For Warriors.
