The ESPY Awards might only be 22 years old but the annual athletic achievement event has created memories that will stretch forever. We have seen dozens of acceptance speeches and tributes and while it’s foolish to pick the “best”, three moments tend to stand out more than others.
The powerful speeches from Jim Valvano, Don Meyer and Stuart Scott remain deeply engrained in the hearts of both sports and non-sports fans across the world. Most of us have watched each of those speeches many times over but they never get old and they never fail to strike a chord.
Jim Valvano – 1993
Don Meyer – 2009
