The Atlanta Hawks have been a tear lately, winning 18 of their last 20 games to leapfrog to the top of the Eastern Conference standings, and into a virtual tie for the second-best record in the NBA (the Hawks are 25-8, while the Portland Trail Blazers are 26-8). Unfortunately — as NBA fans are well aware — success in Atlanta almost never translates to butts in seats, which is perhaps why the marketing department is running a “Swipe Right Night” this Wednesday, sponsored by Tinder. Yep, the hook-up app is helping the perpetually-mediocre (but now good) Hawks get young singles in the door for only $15 — a screamin’ deal that includes a $10 food and beverage credit (hey, that’s, like, .75 beers!).
Have fun, kids, but don’t spend the night buried in your phone. The Memphis Grizzlies are in town, and they don’t suck either, so try and pay some attention to the game. Please?
Reminder: The Hawks are having “Swipe Right Night” sponsored by Tinder on Wednesday with the Grizzlies in town. This is a real thing.
