Blake Griffin had himself quite a game Monday night at Staples Center. The Clippers power forward scored 45 points — two shy of his career high — and none more important than prayer he launched as the clock ran out in overtime. With 2.6 seconds remaining, no timeouts and the Clippers down 120-118 to the Phoenix Suns, any shot would have sufficed to either extend or end the game. As you can see, Griffin decided to go for the win, and was rewarded with one of the best “no, no, no, no…YES!!!” shots in recent memory.
Griffin’s monster game overshadowed a tremendous performance by Eric Bledsoe, who notched his first career triple-double — 27 points, 11 rebounds, 16 assists — and had a game-extending block as time expired at the end of regulation.
