The San Antonio Spurs are currently roaming Germany during a team bonding trip in which they will also play an exhibition game against Alba Berlin. During their stay in Berlin, the team visited a Holocaust memorial and many of them took photos, including Danny Green.
The 6th-year guard proceeded to take a selfie, something that is not the greatest decision but is not what has people ridiculing him. He posted the selfie to Instragram with the following caption:
A lot of history here, more than you could imagine…very sad/tragic things happened #holocaust #berlin
Instead of leaving things at that, Green posted the same photo to Facebook but added a very different caption, one that included an “LOL” and has a lot of people calling him an insensitive fool:
He immediately realized the horrendous decision of adding a caption of that tone to a very powerful photo and took to Twitter to offer an apology:
