Well, this was almost disastrous.

During Sunday’s warm ups for a Nationals game, Stephen Strasburg was getting ready to fire some pitches at the mound. At the same time, a little girl who was on the field decided to run across the field from third base, crossing right in font of Strasburg. Luckily, Strasburg noticed the small body running in front of home base and he calmly ceased his throwing motion until it was safe again.

A close call for sure. Glad to see that everyone was able to escape the situation unscathed. And for goodness sake, don’t let children run amok on a field where there’s 90+ mph projectiles being fired about.
