Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner — who is currently sidelined until mid-December with a groin injury — is facing a lot more time on the sidelines, as sources say he’s facing a one-year suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. NFL.com had erroneously reported that Browner was facing an eight-game ban for testing positive for PEDs — but Jason LaCanfora quickly shot that down.
Browner was suspended the final four games last season after testing positive for PEDs, while teammate Richard Sherman beat a similar suspension on appeal. Sources are also saying that Browner has already gone through the appeals process for this latest violation. He now joins teammate — and fellow cornerback — Walter Thurmond as the latest Seahawks DBs to be suspended for testing positive for banned substances.
