The Los Angeles Clippers put up 137 points on the Houston Rockets Monday night — an astronomical regulation total that was achieved thanks to some epic matador defense on the part of Houston’s perimeter players. The most egregious offender was James Harden, whose defensive non-effort led to wide open shots all night long for the likes of J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley, while padding Chris Paul’s stat line to an impressive 17 assists.
Speaking of matador defense, Chris Paul also had 23 points in the 137-118 win, two of which came on this drive where Omri Casspi somehow managed to screen his own teammate (Jeremy Lin) while CP3 casually sauntered through the lane.
